Mission and Scope of ESL

The Economic Subpersonal Lab (E.S.LAB) serves as an interdisciplinary platform merging rigorous scientific research with accessible journalistic discourse. Our mission is to uncover and critically examine the hidden subpersonal mechanisms shaping economic behavior, societal structures, and mental health within the frameworks of cybercapitalism. Authors are invited to contribute original, thought-provoking manuscripts that align with ESL’s vision of fostering critical reflection and global dialogue.

Submissions must explore themes relevant to ESL’s scope, including but not limited to:

The economic unconscious and subpersonal psychological processes.

Cybercapitalism and its impact on human behavior and mental health.

Scopic colonialism and the commodification of the neuro-cognitive-behavioral complex.
-
The effects of these changes on culture, society, and democracy.

Intersections of neuroscience, psychology, and economics in shaping societal dynamics.

Manuscripts should provide a comprehensive and balanced discussion of the topic, emphasizing critical thinking and interdisciplinarity.

Scientific References and Evidence

Authors must include at least three scientific references to support their arguments and establish the context of the discussed problematic. References can include peer-reviewed articles, books, and credible reports from established institutions.

Evidence should be integrated into the narrative to substantiate claims and offer a robust analytical foundation.

Length

Manuscripts must be a minimum of 700 words. While there is no strict upper limit, authors should aim for concise and focused writing that avoids redundancy.

Formatting and Style

Manuscripts should be formatted in a clear and professional manner:

Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12-point) and double spacing.

Include section headings to organize content logically.

Citations should follow a recognized referencing style, such as APA, Chicago, or MLA, and a bibliography must be included at the end of the manuscript.

Submissions must be written in English and free of grammatical and typographical errors.

Originality and Ethics

Submissions must be original and unpublished. Simultaneous submissions to other platforms are not permitted.

Authors must adhere to ethical standards, ensuring accuracy in representation and proper acknowledgment of sources.

All manuscripts will be reviewed by ESL’s Editorial Team. The review process will evaluate the relevance, originality, clarity, and scientific rigor of the submission.

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on editorial feedback before final approval.
